Brothels in Port Moresby disguised as "transit" rooms

Let's face the facts and condemn the ever sprouting promotion of sex trade in Port Moresby.

Transit rooms in lodges are actuality brothels.

I had an experience on Friday in Port Moresby where I went to grab a good room to rest as I have been living in my car for sometime.

After getting the room 15 for a night at K100 I went to a clinic and later joined a family where we had dinner and I spent the night with them.

I decided to fore go the room I booked.

The following morning I went to check out and also pick up a mobile phone I had charging there with a few clothes I left.

As I walked to the room, it was opened and someone had used it with all bed linen in disorder.

I was shocked and asked a female cleaning rooms what happened to my room and where were my stuff.

I just got a surprised look from her.

When I inquired at the reception I was accused of not sleeping there but I said I got a room for a night and my stuff were there.

The manager responded it was a waste of time for him.  He need to make money hourly.

That's when it struck me. He wants men and women to book the rooms at an hour at K100 and he makes a lot of money.

He didn't need my K100 for 24 hours.

These transit rooms are for quick sex. They are brothel rooms.

They accommodate and promote that evil.

Authorities must now condemn that evil and close these "illegal brothels".

Sex trade or drug abuse and illegal trades can be popular and happening in these places.

We need to set proper guidelines for our children in future.

Let's not remain mum. Let's challenge the status quo. And stop the evil from triumphing.

Their provision of alternate affordable accommodation for genuine travellers is awesome. Hotel costs are budget breakers.
