Yes we need to teach and encourage our children to start saving money early in life

Very impressed with this initiative. And I say it again.

Yes we need to teach our children to develop and embrace the culture of saving money early in their human development.

Thank you MiBank. This awareness and initiative needs to go far and wide.

So the conditions are up there. It's very user friendly to open an account, save and access funds.

If we start saving K10 for them fortnightly when they are 10. By the time they are 20 they would have saved 10*26*10= K 2600.

It can be more. The essential point is we have started, and they have an operating bank account.

Our children need to value money as assets, like their land and it shall not be used or spent unwisely and later there is no money.

In western countries where land is wholly owned by the state, they grow up appreciating the fact that their asset to survive and prosper or achieve anything is money. Therefore they spend wisely and protect their money as we protect our land. Money cannot be given easily unnecessarily.

So essentially, when we have a generation who value money as assets and save it, guarding it as a tiger watching over its herd, our children will be rich with assets. Money and land.

They shall then be able to invest in quality homes, vehicles and invest money in shares or capital markets. They shall improve their quality of lives and invest in education for learning but at the same time appreciate and uphold our cultures.

This initiative by MiBank should become popular and accessible to all our children. Our hope should be that the government supports this initiative in some form.

We build tomorrow today.
