PNG citizens struggle to own land to build homes in cities
Thousands of illegal settlers at three portions of land 2156, 2157 and 2159 at 9 Mile, Bush Wara just outside Port Moresby have no more time to live there.
If anyone has not voluntarily vacate the area by yesterday Wednesday July, 10, they will be forced to leave today by police.
There is a court order in place after the legitimate owner of the land portions - Nambawan Super obtained a successful court order following a decision.
But the settlers have protested that their eviction now renders their status as refugees in their own country.
There are mixed reactions about this from citizens.
