Senior Education Officers Conference gets underway in Vanimo

 The 33rd Senior Education Officers Conference ( or bung blong ol bikman blo Education), will get underway in the Vanimo Township of West Sepik Province, today.

This follows the arrival of the Education Minister, Lucas Dekena, and the Department Secretary, Dr. Uke Kombra as well as the Teaching Services Commission (TSC) Chairman, Samson Wangihomie on Sunday.

Several notable events lined up for the opening, include a Memorandum of Agreement signing between the West Sepik Provincial Education, and the University of Papua New Guinea, for the establishment of the Sandaun University Center, and another MOA for the establishment of the Flexible and Distance Education.

The  Education Minister is also expected to launch the West Sepik Provincial Education Implementation Plan 2023 to 2027, and other policies for the Ministry.
