PNG Weightlifting champion to miss out on Paris Olympics

 PNG's champion female weightlifter Dika Toua wont be part of Team PNG competing in the 2024 Paris Olympics.

She has not qualified and missing the Olympics for the first time since her induction at the Sydney Olympics in 2000.

Ms Toua has missed the qualification by one kilo earlier this year.

But despite that, Toua says another door has opened up for her to consider coaching and also administering the code of weight lifting since she is now the President of PNG Weightlifting.

She has expressed gratitude on how far she has made it in her career in weightlifting for the many years.
